New Maybelline Products
Any drugstore beauty lover knows that Maybelline has been stepping their game up recently, and their 2017 launches show how much they’ve been working on building their reputation for quality and affordable cosmetics. Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon, $7, is a new spin on Maybelline’s classic Baby Lips Lip Balm. The new lip crayon’s formula is more pigmented than the OG Baby Lips but doesn’t sit heavily on the lips. It’s great for lip color or a cheek flush and comes in eight shades: Toasted Taupe, Blush Burst, Strawberry Pop, Creamy Coral, Refreshing Red, Sassy Scarlett, Pink Smooch, and Playful Purple.
The FaceStudio Master Strobing Liquid Illuminating Highlighters, $10, will come in three shades; iridescent, champagne, and gold- great options for all skin tones.
The Maybelline Dream Cushion, $16, is a full-coverage foundation that comes in a travel-friendly compact that is perfect for midday touch-ups. Whilst this may seem a bit pricey for Maybelline, it is a cheaper alternative to many cushion foundations on the market and is an affordable way to try the cushion foundation trend.
The new Face Studio Master Camo Color Correcting Kit, $13, is an extremely affordable way to learn how to color correc. The palette comes in three different shades based on skin tone, unlike many brand’s color correcting palettes. Another unique feature of the palette is that it also includes a pearlescent highlight shade.

Molly Cosmetics’ Silisponge
Molly Cosmetics new makeup sponge could be the next BeautyBlender. It may look a bit strange, but the new sponge has been garnering lots of attention. It’s a piece of silicone (resembles a bra insert or chicken cutlet) that doesn’t absorb your makeup the same way sponge’s are known to. The Silisponge actually won’t absorb any of your foundation, and lasts far longer than traditional sponges or BeautyBlenders. It can be cleaned with regular handsoap when dirty, and won’t crack the way sponges often do. It’s great for applying foundation or cream products.
