Did you get an overload of candy this Halloween and are not sure what to do with it all? Last Friday, Nov. 1, the community service board started collecting candy from students who choose to donate their stash.
There are drop-off boxes in front of the Upper School, Middle School and Lower School offices, as well as Ms. Day’s office. The drive will last until Nov. 7.
The candy collected on Nov. 1 will be donated to a dentist who then sends it overseas to the troops in Afghanistan. After Nov. 1, it will be sent to the Salvation Army, which will distribute the candy.
It is a great way to give back to the community and make someone else’s Halloween holiday season a bit sweeter.
