What to Watch This Week

Well Tuesday’s nearly empty, and as everything starts dwindling, it’s time to start binging on ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas Special. The Fourcast presents the vestiges of TV goodness that remain in the cold, dark days of winter.

Sunday, December 8

Live:        Homeland
Why: On next week’s show Brody asks for asylum, and everyone is wondering if he has turned again and whether he is an asset or a serious liability. Carrie is freaking out because she doesn’t want anyone to abandon her.  It also seems like Senator Lockhart and Saul give the order to get rid of Brody.
DVR:       Once Upon a Time
Why:  Back in Storybrooke, Hook and Neal decide for the ‘fun’ to begin by dueling till the death for Emma’s heart…while ignoring that Henry isn’t really Henry.
Revenge
Why: Emily puts the finishing touches on her plan to take down the Graysons once and for all. Poor Sharpies. If this plan works, their days on the show are numbered.
The Walking Dead
Why:  After an explosive midseason finale, the hit is off the air until February.

Monday, December 9

Story continues below advertisement

Live:         Almost Human

Tuesday, December 10

Live: Agents of Shield
Why: In its winter finale, Coulson takes the war back to Centipede, and this time he brings in Mike Peterson (the guy from the first episode) for some super-soldier support. As they get closer to the truth, startling secrets are revealed and an unexpected twist threatens the team, ending in a shocking cliffhanger.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Why:  On hiatus until Jan. 7

Why: Fiona approaches Marie Laveau with a surprising proposition: an alliance between Marie’s tribe and the Coven against a common enemy. Meanwhile, Hank reports to the high-powered CEO who has set him on his life’s dark path – his father – and is shocked to learn the truth behind Cordelia’s blinding. DVR: Modern Family
Why: Jay takes Manny out to cut down their own Christmas tree. Gloria is on edge with mom in town but changes her tune when she sees her bonding with Claire.

Thursday, December 12

Live:        Grey’s Anatomy
Why: On the day of April’s wedding, the doctors are all preoccupied with their own drama. Meredith and Cristina continue to argue about their research and careers, and Bailey comes clean to Ben about her feelings regarding him moving back to Seattle. Meanwhile, Derek gets a phone call that will change his life in this winter finale episode.
Scandal
Why:  At the end of last episode ‘YOLO,’ there was definitely a big set up. This week in the winter finale, now that the truth is out there, things will never be the same, and everyone will have to face the consequences of their actions.
The Vampire Diaries
Why: Damon realizes Elena is in danger and enlists Stefan’s help to find her.  In an attempt to stop Damon, Dr. Wes unleashes his secret weapon, forcing Damon to deal with a part of his past he thought was gone forever, as well as the consequences of his decades-long plan for revenge.
