Silhouettes in Motion

Capture the Moment

Dancing is a series of moments, a series of motions expressing our emotions. To the audience, a performance of choreography is an incessant stream of movements that connect seamlessly. But to me, the connection with dance is in the moments, the freeze frames, the poses. Trying to capture the emotion and power of a piece of choreography through photography has always been a challenge, but the passion of the Hockaday dancers shines through and provides depth to the silhouettes of these photographs.
