New York City is perhaps my most favorite city in the world. Although there are many aspects to the city that I love, I think what I love the most is the energy of the city. This energy is exhibited in a variety of ways. It can be the continual motion of its inhabitants, always in a hurry to get somewhere. It can be the continual honking of horns. It can be the knowledge that one can experience almost anything one desires. However, for me it is all about the visual experience. Every street, every neighborhood provides a variety of richness for the eye to behold. When I was taking these photographs, my hope was that they might convey the spirit, the diversity, the richness and most importantly the energy that is New York.
