Five Athletes Formally Commit on Signing Day

Five+Athletes+Formally+Commit+on+Signing+Day

On Feb. 8, Upper School students, parents, teammates and coaches of athletes gathered in Clements Lecture Hall to celebrate the five seniors formally committing to play at their colleges. National signing day is traditionally the first day that a high school senior signs a letter of intent, officially committing to their college for their sport; the official date of National signing day was actually on Feb. 7, but the celebration at Hockaday was scheduled for one day later.

Below are the athletes extending their athletic careers in college (in order of appearance in the slideshow above):

Lizzie Benedict, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for Lacrosse

Emily Fuller, Bowdoin College for Lacrosse

Anna Glasgow, Dartmouth College for Rowing

Sophie Isom, Yale University for Track and Field

Trinity Thomas, Harvard University for Soccer
